Larry Wayne Bryan, 77, of Hale Center passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at First Methodist Church in Hale Center, Texas with Rob Lindley and Jackie King officiating. Interment will follow at Hale Center Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.
Larry Wayne Bryan, beloved husband and father went home to Heaven of the age of 77. Larry grew up in Hale Center and graduated in 1966. He then attended Texas Tech and graduated with a BS in Animal Science. After graduating, Larry served his country in the Army and was stationed in Vietnam. Larry returned home and began farming and raising cattle and swine. Larry married the love of his life, Brenda Bryan on October 4, 1986. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Kelsey and Travis. They were the joys of his life and spent many hours together on the farm and in their adult years, had lots of conversations about cows and pigs. Farming was his livelihood, but cattle were his passion. Even after his “retirement”, Larry continued to work raising cattle. Larry collapsed and went to Heaven while he and Brenda were building fence. He died doing what he loved.
Larry is survived by his wife Brenda, son Travis and daughter-in-law Maidie of Spearman. He is also survived by his sister Janet and husband Tom of Stephenville, a niece Jennifer Barker and family of Stephenville, mother-in-law Jonnie Ford of Lubbock, brother-in-law Tim Ford and wife Dana of New Deal, sister-in-law Abigail Ramford and husband Simon of Lamesa, and two nephews, Justis Ramford of Lubbock and Austin Ramford of Lamesa.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Alma Bryan and his beloved daughter Kelsey.
Memorials may be sent to: The Bryan Family Love Fund c/o First United Bank Hale Center. This funds a scholarship given yearly in Kelsey’s memory, or First Methodist Church of Hale Center.
