Lillie Delorious Scott, 85, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at South Park Baptist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Jerry Howe, Pastor, Rev. Brad Layton and Mr. Dean Nolen officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. that afternoon at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
Lillie Delorious was born on July 26, 1935 in Donley county, Texas to B.B. and Gladys Christie. She was raised in New Deal and graduated from High School there. She married Charles Scott in 1953 and they moved to Plainview in 1955. Her passion was children and loved introducing them to the love of Christ. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Plainview, First Baptist Church in Seminole, and South Park Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas. She loved to sing, sew, and dance. Lillie Delorious loved to entertain and loved having people in her home. It was her gift to serve others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, BB and Gladys Christie; her husband, Charles Scott, a brother, Dale Christie and a sister, Geneva Lee Rackley.
She is survived by her two daughters; Diane Haddock and husband Gerald of Fort Worth, Texas, Charla Brotherton of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, Kenneth Christie and wife Dolores of Granbury, Texas; one sister, Katheren Gregory Wisdom of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren, Kami Owens Bedford and husband Brandon or Fort Worth, Texas, Charlcie Brotherton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Madison Brotherton Farnsworth and husband Dean of Princeton, Texas; five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to South Park Baptist Church, 2201 82nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79423.
