Lilly Sertuche Frausto (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Lilly Sertuche Frausto, 79, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, in Kress, A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 10:00 am in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Tulia, with Father David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Lilly was born on October 1, 1943, in Taylor, Texas to Frank and Ysabel Luna Sertuche.  Lilly attended Lubbock High School and attended Lubbock Beauty School and became a licensed beautician. She married Joe Frausto on February 4, 1960, and they moved to Kress.  She was a beautician and she worked with Loraine Frausto at Headquarters Beauty Shop for 13 years. In 1981 Joe and Lilly operated Frausto Tortilla Factory and it is still in operation today. She was very involved in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, serving as eucharist and lector and she was a member of the Crucista “De Colores”. She was a loving mother, wife, grandma, and sister to all her family. Lilly was always by Joe’s side until he was unable to leave the house because of his illness. She supported and backed him in everything he did.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Joe.

She is survived by four children: Isabel Frausto Macias of Lubbock, Alexander Frausto and wife Felipa of Dallas, Richard Frausto and wife Priscilla of Tulia and Milton Joe Frausto and wife Nancy of Lubbock, her brother: Frank L. Sertuche of Ft. Worth, her sister: Linda Ortiz of Liberal, Kansas, 10 grandchildren: Vinny, Nikki, Brunita Lilly, Alexander, Jr., Amber Lynn, Richard “Ritchie”, Ronnie, Serena, Jayden, Aaron, and 24 great grandchildren.
