Linda Perez (Plainview)

Linda Perez, 65, of Plainview passed away at her home on January 30, 2024. Her funeral services will be held on Friday February 2, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A viewing will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Linda was born on June 23, 1958 in Longview to John Henry Smith and Floy Doris Armstrong. She grew up chasing her two big sisters Claire and Doris. Later, she married and started a family but through the years she always did whatever was needed to support her kids. She was a strong, constant presence in their lives and shined God’s light through it all. She worked as an office assistant in different areas of agriculture for many years and was loved by all those that knew her. She married the love of her life, John Perez, on February 21, 2003 in Ruidoso. Her grandkids were her joy and she was known to start many pillow fights late at night during their sleepovers. She loved taking them camping and always just wanted her toes in the water. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Smith and Floy Doris Armstrong, and her sister Claire Wortham. She is survived by her husband John Perez of Plainview, sister Doris Barrett and husband Mike of Lubbock, son Gary Eastwood and wife Miranda of Shallowater, daughter Kristin Rogahn and husband Matt of Lubbock, daughter Misty Browning of Plainview, son Shawn Perez and wife Angela of Tulia, and daughter Janae Perez of Memphis. Her grandchildren Evan, Kason and Hagen Eastwood of Shallowater, Kristopher Rogahn and wife Victoria of Kellogg, Iowa, Zachary and Ava Rogahn of Lubbock, Mia and Ava Perez of Tulia, and Milani Perez of Memphis. One great-granddaughter Emersyn Rogahn of Kellogg, Iowa. And many special nieces and nephews that she considers her own.
