Lupe Urrutia (Plainview)

Lupe G Urrutia, 79 of Plainview passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Kornerstone Chapel with Bob Hailey officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Urrutia was born February 20, 1943 in Raymondville, Texas to Salvador and Julia Urrutia. He married Eva A. Urrutia on December 25, 1966 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He served in the United States Army and worked for the United States Postal Service and retired as a United States Postmaster in 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, four sisters, Maria DeLeon, Juana Reyna, Eulalia Martinez, Ignacia Bustos, two brothers Benito Bustos and Ignacio Bustos, a grandson Rolando Martinez and a son-in-law Eliseo L. Ramirez. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: daughter Diana Alonzo, granddaughter Amanda Alonzo (Carlos Espinoza), great grandchildren Andrew, Adrian, Joey Alonzo and Analicia Espinoza; daughter Lisa Martinez Urrutia, grandson Michael Martinez (Luciana), great grandsons Dominick, Christian and Julian, grandson Cruz Martinez III; daughter Virginia Donna Rodriguez (Arthur), granddaughter Dannette Garay, great granddaughter Belen, granddaughter Jennifer Garcia (Matt), great grandchildren Benjamin and Madeleine, granddaughter Tabitha Alvarez (Mindy) great grandchildren Asher and Oliver, grandson George Sandoval, Jr. (Isaura), great grandchildren Nataly, Sarahí, Annahi, George III and Javier; daughter Allison Garcia (Miguel), granddaughter Angela Whitaker (Brandon), great grandsons Brayden, Braxton and Benjamin, grandson Jake Garcia; daughter Melissa Bratcher (Chris), grandson Nicolás Ramírez (Britni), great granddaughter Sylvie; daughter Jaclyn Hailey (Ben), granddaughter Micaela Maldonado; son Matthew Urrutia (Mari), grandchildren Aracely and Johnny Zamora. He is also survived by two brothers Pedro Urrutia and Ramiro Bustos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an educational charity of your choice
