Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A wake will be held Friday April 22, 2022 from 6-8pm at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, Plainview, Tx. Malcolm Eric Nash was born in Plainview, Texas to the late Bobbie Ruth Lockett Nash and James Whitten on April 10, 1966. Raised up in Emmanuel Church of God in Christ; under the tutelage of the late Bishop E. N. Givens and Rev. Walter Jackson. Moving to Amarillo he served at several churches as the Minister of Music, thus the name...The Piano Man. He later settled in Amarillo, Texas, working at BSA as a Surgical Technician 1st Assistant, following his mother’s steps. He worked with Samaritan's Purse and Rice Foundation. He took trips to La Paz , Bolivia with Samaritan's Purse and Honduras with Rice Foundation, traveling with Doctors from BSA. Eric went to Honduras with Rice Foundation at least 9 times to repair cleft lips and palates in children and Eric was the scrub tech. In Bolivia he sang for the devotional every day before they started the OR . One Doctor remembers him singing "Because He lives " and "Amazing Grace". He was married to Rose Barnes Hill since 1991 and they lived in Amarillo raising their son/stepson Zachary Hill and their 6 grandchildren.
