Marcial Soto Flores (Plainview)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marcial Flores, who died peacefully on Tuesday January 28th at the age of 79. The Rosary will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors on Thursday, January 30th, at 6:00pm. The Celebration of Life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, January 31st, at 12:00pm.

Marcial was born on May 22, 1945 in Plainview Texas. He lived a life dedicated to family, faith and friendship. Marcial married Elsa Flores on August 30th, 1963. Together for 61 years he kept each and everyone of us warm with his strength, support, humor, and love. A lifelong resident of Plainview, he dedicated his time to serving the community in every way he could. Whether it was through his career as a Mechanic for the city and Edmiston Mobil Service Station, or on his own time guiding and teaching Plainview's youth through Karate, Football, and Baseball. Finally through his devout faith, being a founding member of the local Knights of Columbus, serving as Deputy Grand Knight for many years. Marcial was so loved and will be remembered by not only his family but his entire community.

Marcial is proceeded in death by his Mother, Maria Soto, Father, Felix Flores, three sisters, Felipa Flores, Anita Garza, Anna Vasquez, and one brother, Felipe Flores.

Marcial is survived by his Wife, Elsa, two sons, Michael and Bret, and four grandchildren Conner, Rylie, Mya, and Alexa.
