Margarito Alvarado (Plainview)

Margarito Alvarado, 55, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Kornerstone Chapel with Pastor Doug Yates of First Church of Nazarene and Pastor Albert Carrion of True Vine Church. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A Visitation will be held at 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Margarito was born on December 1, 1966 in Raymondville, Texas to Tomas and Alicia Alvarado.  He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1986. He was a fork lift operator for many years and worked at several places including Walmart, Cargill, the Cotton Compress and Corteva. He loved cars, including working on them, wood working.  He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed bonfires and family time. He was an avid Cowboy fan and spent many days cheering them on no matter how the games turned out. 

He married Odilia Ortiz April 20, 2012

Margarito is survived by his wife Odilia Alvarado of Plainview; six children, Crystal Medellin and husband JJ of Plainview, Araceli Ortiz of Plainview, Tomas Alvarado of Plainview, Yasmin Dominguez of Plainview, Reynaldo Dominguez of Lubbock, and Areial Alvarado of Plainview. Four brothers; Juan Luna of Harlingen, Jose Luna of Houston, Hector Luna of Washington, Peter Luna of Plainview. Five sisters; Antonia Gonzales of Plainview, Zoila Rodriguez of Plainview, Josie Saldana of Amarillo, Maria Esther Vargas of Dimmit, San Juana Hernandez of Plainview. Five grandchildren.
