Margie Loraine Dorsett (Plainview)

Margie Loraine Dorsett, beloved daughter of Cooper and Annie Russell, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 100. She was born on August 8, 1923, in Lubbock, Texas. Margie spent the majority of her life in Plainview, Texas, where she was a cherished member of the community. After earning her high school diploma, she embarked on a career with Bell Telephone communications, where she dedicated her talents and skills for many years. Outside of her profession, Margie found solace and strength in her faith. She was an active member of the Northwest Church of Christ and loved attending church services and engaging in fellowship with her fellow congregants. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 am in Margie's honor at Plainview Cemetery. Friends, family, and community members are invited to gather together to celebrate Margie's life. Margie is preceded in death by her husband; Clyde Dorsett, parents; Annie and Cooper Russell, and is survived by her niece, Gloria Kane.
