Mildred Myrick, 96, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson and Rev. Jason Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held at 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mildred was born on June 5, 1921 to Aron and Mae (Campbell) Clark in Hollis, Oklahoma. She came to Texas in a covered wagon in 1923 and lived in Aiken until she was 15. She married James B. Savage in 1939, he passed away in 1976. She moved to Plainview and was a hairdresser for 30 years. She loved to dance and enjoyed making crafts and her own clothes. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and Flying Farmers with her husband James. She was a resident of Prairie House where they spoiled her and took very good care of her. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James Savage, Roy Morrison and Clovis Myrick, an infant daughter, Zonelle Savage and a step grandson, three brothers and 3 sisters. Mildred is survived by three sons, James Carrol Savage of Plainview, Grady Van Savage of Irving, TX, Billy Ray Savage and wife Linda of Plainview, one brother, R.L. Clark of Plainview, two step-sons, David Glenn Morrison of Baltimore, MD, Danny Morrison and wife Mary of Lufkin, TX, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one step grandchild, three step-great grandchildren and 5 step-great great grandchildren and special friend, Sally Phillips.
