Nadine B. Foster (Plainview)

Iris Nadine Foster of Plainview, Texas passed from this life on January 14, 2025 at the age of 96. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.at Trinity Lutheran Church in Providence, Texas, with Sean McConathy officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 6-7:30 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. 

Nadine was born in Plainview on November 21, 1928 to Walter and Elsie Boedeker. She attended school at Providence and the Price school in the Whitfield Community in her early years, later graduating from Kress High School. After graduation, she attended Lippert’s Business College, going on to work at the gas company. She married Weldon Foster on August 5, 1950 in Floyd County, thus beginning life as a farmer’s wife.

Nadine was no stranger to the farm, however. She loved to reminisce about her childhood days growing up on the farm helping her dad and her brother. Upon her marriage to Weldon, she devoted her life to helping on the farm. She drove grain trucks and delivered many meals to the field. After her husband’s death, she continued to help her son, Steve, on the farm by preparing and delivering those much anticipated meals. She was very proud of her farming heritage and her contributions to the family farm. Nadine was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, of which her grandparents were founding members. She dearly loved her church family.

Nadine is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, J.D. Boedeker. She is survived by sons, Lynn Foster and wife Pat of Waxahachie and Steve Foster and wife Sheila of Kress, one granddaughter, Savannah Foster of Amarillo, as well as a large extended family.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Shae Anderson at the Beehive, to Mary Rodriguez, who was not only a caregiver, but who became a trusted friend, and to Raegan Garrison of Interim Hospice, all of whom provided compassionate care.
