Nelly Montez, 55 passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Faith Christian Fellowship with Pastor Marcus Flores officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the funeral home.
Nelly was born on April 7, 1967 in Plainview, Texas to Andres & Julia Montez. She graduated from Plainview High School. She owned and operated Sparkling Nel's where she served Lubbock and the surrounding areas. Nelly enjoyed her grandkids, praise and worship, gardening, shopping and helping others. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship in Plainview.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Noel Montez; brother-in-law, Ernest Chavez and niece Marisa Ramos.
Nelly is survived by one son Adrian Moreno of Plainview; one daughter, Monique Vasquez and Husband of Lubbock; two brothers, Eliseo Montez and wife of San Antonio and Frank Estrada; one sister, Edelmira Chavez of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Christian Vasquez, Adam Vasquez, Saul Vasquez, Jr., Samuel Vasquez, Jayce Moreno and Maddox Moreno.
