Raquel R Blanco, 83, of Lockney passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Raquel was born on May 15, 1937 to Sylvester and Augustina Robles in Alamo, Texas. She married Anastacio Z Salinas on September 25, 1955 in Raymondville, TX together in love they created a beautiful family with ten children. She married Noe Blanco, Sr. on December 12, 1986 in Plainview, Texas. In this union she embraced five step children and love them like her own. Raquel was a devoted Christian woman who shared her love for Christ with everyone she encountered she was a true light of God. with her multiple roles in sharing God love she was Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher, a youth director, counselor, a prayer warrior, church treasurer, she was a member of the WMU association and state, she was mentor and teacher for Christian Women's Job Corp and so much more she retired in 2020. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting and sharing stories. She has been a long-time church member of Iglesia Bautista Templo Salem in Lockney, TX She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Anastacio Z Salinas, Noe Blanco, Sr.; two step-children, Noe Blanco, Jr. and Estella Blanco; one grandson, Kenneth Emory Cox, Jr (Little Kenny) three brothers Moses Robles, Tiofilito Robles, Sammy Robles. She is survived by her children and step-children, Sandra Cox and husband Leonard of Flatonia, TX, Selma Ortiz and husband Joe of Floydada TX, Sonia Cox and husband Kenneth of Amarillo TX, Sylvia Smith and husband Glenn of Levelland TX, Sally Rubio and husband Ruben of New Braunfels TX, Cynthia Salinas of New Braunfels TX, Sue Emma Diaz and husband Pete of Ruskin, FL, Ted Salinas of Seguin TX, Sulema Brown of Sidney, NE, Samantha Raissez and husband Matthew of Lubbock TX, Mary Ann Ceja and husband Juan of Lytle, TX, Corina Gonzales and husband Johnny of Lockney TX, Pat Nino of Plainview TX; three brothers, Efrian Robles and wife Hope of Corpus Christi, TX, Sylvester Robles, Jr. and wife Carol of Flatonia, TX , Robert Robles and wife Mary of San Juan ,TX and three sister Manuelita Duran of Raymondville, TX, Perla Garcia and husband Gilbert of Elsa, TX, Hilda Martinez and husband Gumencido of Raymondville TX; thirty-nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren and her dog Snowey.
