Randy Baker (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Randy Baker, 56, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Brian West, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Randy was born on October 18, 1964 in Tulia. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. He married Lola Rush on April 7, 1995. He worked for the Swisher County Sheriff’s Department for a few years then the Tulia Police Department for several years before he worked as a correctional officer for TDCJ.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Bill and Claudette Furgeson.

He is survived by his wife Lola Baker, one daughter: Alyssa McGee and husband James of Plainview, two sons: Trey Baker of Grand Prairie and Chris Dumcum and wife Heather of Perryton, his mother-in-law: Margaret George of Tulia, two brothers: Larry Freeman and wife Leslie of Houston and Jimmy Freeman and wife Linda of Marshall and his four grandchildren: Kassidy, Kash, Jessika and Zak.
