Richard Aldridge (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Richard Max Aldridge, 79, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport and Rev. John Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Richard was born on June 29, 1943, to Bruce and Ethel (Nuzum) Aldridge. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. He served three years in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He married Ernesteene Perrin on August 30, 1965. He worked at Bruce’s Grill from 1965 to 1977 when he went to work for Swisher Electric Coop from 1977 until he retired in 2008. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved being an amateur ham radio operator and loved fishing and camping.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Bruce Aldridge and Ethel Aldridge Dow, two brothers: Kenneth and Wesley, two daughters: Wendy and Brucella and a granddaughter Nikki Rowan.

He is survived by his wife: Ernesteene Aldridge, two sons: Timothy Lee Aldridge and Terry Eugene Aldridge, six grandchildren: Richard Bruce Aldridge, Stephen Cole Aldridge, Savannah Paige Aldridge, Katlyn Allen, Phoenix Aldridge, and Ashlynn Aldridge and three great grandchildren: Richard Aldridge, Jr., Audree Thomas and Ryker Aldridge.
