Richard N. “Dick” Starnes

Tulia, Texas—Richard N. “Dick” Starnes, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Kirk Gray officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Dick was born on May 6, 1952, in Tulia to Kenneth and Betty Starnes. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. He then joined the US Army. After his discharge he returned to Tulia and worked with his father at Starnes Garage. He later worked for Workman Machinery and then he went to work for Briscoe Implement Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth and Betty Starnes and a brother: Dale Starnes.

He is survived by two daughters: Neyla Braddock and husband Coty of Tulia and Krystal Helton of Happy, his sister: Linda Bittick and husband Dave of Silver Cliff, Colorado, his sister-in-law: Donna Starnes of Oakland, Tennessee, four grandchildren: Tabitha Klarich and husband Kanyon of Amarillo, Jacob Braddock of Tulia, Britney Birkenfeld and husband Jason of Nazareth and Brooke and Zoe Hillard of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 8 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
