Rickie Hayden Boggs (Plainview)

Rickie Hayden Boggs, 75, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, TX.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, TX.

Rickie was born on February 10, 1948 to Hayden and Opal Boggs in Madator, Texas. He grew up on a farm in Quitaque, Texas and graduated from Flomot High School in 1966. Soon after, he joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country including serving in Vietnam in 1969. After serving in the military, Rickie served his community at the Plainview Post Office for 30 years. He was very knowledgeable about firearms, concealed handguns, NRA, and was very involved within his ELKS lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Hayden and Opal Boggs, sister; Joyce Hancock, and nephew; Gary Fremel.

He is survived by his son; Rowdy Boggs, sister; Neysa Friemel, nephew; Mike Friemel, and nieces; Shonda Ruthardt, Tama Lucas, Tawnya Toombs, Lynette Rush, Michelle Britten, grandchildren; Megan and Logan Boggs.
