Robert James Rigler, 96, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Hawkins. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.A visitation will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 3:30-5:00 P.M. at Kornerstone. Robert was born on June 3, 1922 in the Prairieview Community to James and Ernestine (Hill) Rigler. He married Minnie Ruth Foster on November 4, 1951 in Plainview. He grew up and attended schools in Prairieview and Plainview. He served in the U.S. Army and fought during WWII. He was a dairy farmer all of his life. After he retired, he loved playing golf and attending sporting events for Plainview and Wayland. He was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Plainview. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, four sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his children, Kirk Rigler and wife Anna of Plainview, Risa Ware and husband Brad of LaVernia, TX, Don Rigler and wife Denise of Benicia, CA; four grandchildren, Nathan Rigler and wife Mandy of Abernathy, Robert Mack Bator of Austin, Madeline Rigler of Houston, Allison Rigler of Benicia, CA; two great-grandchildren, Noah Rigler and Nash Rigler.
