Roberto Chavez (Plainview)

Roberto “Chore” Chavez, 60, of Plainview passed away on July 2, 2018.A funeral mass will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Bill Anton officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Kornerstone. He was born March 4, 1958 in Mexico to Encarnacion and Ricarda (Mendoza) Chavez. He married Elida Melendez on May 5, 1979 in Plainview, Texas. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carmen Lucio. Survivors include his wife, Elida Chavez of Plainview; his daughters, Guillermina Enriquez and husband Rene of Lubbock, TX, Rocio Chavez of Houston, TX, Criselda Chavez and husband Juan Ramirez and Angelic Chavez, all of Plainview; his sons, Guadalupe Chavez of Plainview and Robert Chavez, Jr. and wife Pearla of Cuba; his brothers, Zeferino Chavez, Ruben Chavez, Jesus Chavez, Javier Chavez, Pedro Chavez, Francisco Chavez, Pablo Chavez, Gerardo Chavez; his sisters, Maria Armendarez and Amparo Casillas; 18 grandchildren, and one on the way; 2 great grandchildren.   Online condolences can be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com
