Rodney Deon Tinner (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Rodney Deon Tinner, 51, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. 

Rodney was born on November 19, 1970 in Amarillo to Preston Chapel and Darlene North. He was raised in Amarillo and Tulia most of his life. In his younger days he loved boxing and training with The Tulia Boxing Club under the direction of Curtis Day. He worked at Job Core in San Marcus, Texas for a several years. He worked for the Techspray in Amarillo and did some mobile detail for his brother Leonard and his Uncle Charles Tinner. Rodney had a contagious laugh and was a great dancer. He was a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

He is survived by his parents, Preston Chapel, and Darlene North; his children, Malcolm Strickland, Sharrod Strickland, Kearrah Tinner, and Rodney Tinner; his niece, Jade Tinner; his siblings, Teresa Tinner, Leonard Tinner and Timothy Tinner and several grandchildren.
