Roger Morgan, 93, of Tulia passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 18, 2024 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Gabe Moudy officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Cremation burial will follow the memorial service at the Morgan Family Farm at 2764 County Road 19, Tulia, Texas 79088.
Roger was born on March 14, 1931 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Otho and Argie (Nelson) Morgan. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School. He married Chloe (Patzig) on July 14, 1951 in Tulia. He farmed in Tulia and Stratford and owned his own trucking business. He would haul hay or any other job that was needed. He was interested in many different activities such as being in the Tulia Flying Club, drag racing where he won many trophies and traveled to many places. He also owned a BBQ food truck and loved to go to auctions. He loved to watch the West Texas Women’s Softball games. He was remembered for his onery ways and living life to the fullest.
He is preceded by his parents, Otho and Argie Morgan, his wife, Chloe Morgan, his brother, Hayden Morgan.
He is survived by his two sons, Nicky Morgan and Danny Morgan and wife Barbara, his brother, George Morgan and wife Georgia, his sister, Marilyn Winborn, his brother-in-law, Richard Patzig and wife Bobbie, his sisters-in-law, Jennie Morgan and Cynthia Patzig, his grandson, Chad Morgan and wife Lori and their children, Anthony Tuttle, Reid Garrison, Elliot Garrison, Kayne Luikart, McKinley Morgan and Caleb Morgan, his granddaughter, Julie Morgan and her children, Tyler Gentry and wife Josie, Korbyn Gentry and Evan Tomasko, and Corrie O’ Born.
The family would like to thank the Swisher Memorial Assisted Living and Traditions Hospice for their excellent care.
