Ron White (Plainview)

Ronald Ellis “Ron” White, age 88, of Plainview, Texas passed away on May 3, 2021.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. May 11, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church with Mike Schafer, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Ron was born July 28, 1932 in Plainview, Texas to Ellis Joe and Madge White. He married Pat Duzan on December 20, 1957 in Plainview. She preceded him in death on December 27, 2018.  He was a lifelong resident of Plainview and worked for the Plainview Daily Herald for 17 years. Ron was a member of the Lions Club since 1955 and had perfect attendance to the meetings since 1957 and was named a Monarch several years ago. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir since 1946, at the age of 14. He and Pat loved to travel internationally, mostly by ship.  Their retirement years were blessed by good health, lots of bridge games & dear friends, many who they traveled with.

He is survived by his daughter, Alison Gaut of Lubbock; his brother, Rex Jones of Granbury; sister-in-law, DeAnne Newberry of Weatherford; two grandsons, Tyler Clark and wife Mariah and Jackson Gaut, both of Lubbock; two great grandsons, Jaxon and Kohen Clark
