Ronnie Dale McCulloch (Plainview)

Ronnie Dale McCulloch, 68, of Weatherford, formerly of Plainview passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Harvest Christian Fellowship with Paul Cypert and Benny Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

 A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Kornerstone Chapel.

He was born February 4, 1953 in Plainview, Texas to Don and Jonell McCulloch. He graduated Plainview High School in 1971 and attended West Texas State University in Canyon. He married the love of his life, Dawn Mullins, on March 31, 1975 in Plainview, Texas. Ronnie joined the Texas National Guard in 1971 and proudly served his country until 1977. After marriage, Ronnie farmed with his dad in Hale and Swisher counties until 2000 and then worked for Monsanto in Lubbock, Texas until his retirement in 2018. After retirement, he was hired on with his wife, Dawn, at Dee’s collection where they traveled and sold Native American jewelry. He would always tell everyone she was looking for someone with a strong back and a weak mind and he fit the bill perfectly! They enjoyed each other’s company and were able to spend time together as well as making lifelong friends in the process.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents: Don and Jonell McCulloch.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn of Weatherford; two children, Jason McCulloch and wife Kodi of Midland, their children, Kolten, Korbin, Khloe and Matthew McCulloch and wife Susan of Weatherford and their children, Shane and Madison; one sister, Donna Wilson and husband Rodney of Lubbock; two sisters-in-law, Rita Fulford and husband Vic of Lubbock, Delores Billington and husband Mel of Lubbock; many nieces and nephews and their children; and last but not least, his lifelong friend and “brother”, Sam Cravey.
