Roxanne Alvarez (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Roxanne Alvarez, "La Mariposa", 35, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2023, in the Central Church of Christ. A burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Roxanne was born on September 12, 1987, in Ulysses, Kansas to Rudy and Diana (Rodriguez) Ortiz. She grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia schools. She is preceded in death by her father: Rudy Ortiz, her grandmother: Dolores Ortiz, her aunt: Rebecca Rodriguez and her boyfriend: Adam Saucedo.

She is survived by her husband: Frankie Alvarez of Tulia, her mother: Diana Ortiz of Tulia, her children: Enedina Alvarez and family of Floydada, Frankie Alvarez, Jr. and girlfriend of Tulia, Zaida Alvarez of Tulia, Zyrah Alvarez of Tulia, Jaylynn Martinez of Amarillo, Zavrianna Melendez of Tulia and Mark Melendez, Jr. “M.J.” of Dimmitt. Her siblings: Celeste Ortiz and family of Tulia, Stephany Hernandez and husband of Dumas, Justin Ortiz of Tulia and Joseph Ortiz of Tulia, her grandchildren: Sa’bree L’ynn of Tulia, Brielle Alvarez of Tulia, Nevaeh Rosa of Floydada, Braycen Rodriguez of Tulia. She had seven nieces and nephews who she loved to be around and loved so much.
