Roy Flores, Jr. (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Roy Flores, Jr., 59, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:30 pm in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary and visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the funeral home chapel.

Roy was born on November 24, 1962, in Tulia to Elva and Roy Flores, Sr. He grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. He married Christy Longoria on May 29, 1995. He raised his family in Tulia where he worked for the City of Tulia for eight years and for TxDOT for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Roy Flores, Sr., and Elva G. Flores, and two angel grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife: Christy Flores, His Children: Paul and Heather Flores, Gabi Flores, Adam Flores, Miranda Flores and son in law Karson Huffhines, his twin sister: Nancy Musquiz, his grandchildren: Zharahi Flores, Alezah Flores, Zavier Martinez-Flores, Cah'Dee Flores, Cooper Flores, Stetson Flores, and Baby Boy Huffhines on the way. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many daycare babies that he loved as his own.
