Rudy Luna (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Rodolfo “Rudy” Luna, 45, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, May 11, 2020 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Rudy was born on July 23, 1974 in Tulia. Rodolfo was known as Rudy to friends and classmates. He won several awards and was known for his gymnastic capabilities and teaching. He served in the US Army. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1992.

He is preceded in death by his brother: Benny Luna, Jr. and a son: Rodolfo Isaiah Luna.

He is survived by his mother: Angelita Luna of Tulia, his father: Miguel Zapata of Plainview, his brothers and sisters: Gilbert and Francis Luna of Tulia, Richard and Joyce Luna of Tulia, Albert and Belinda Luna of Tulia, Julia Leyendecker of Plainview, Domingo Luna of Tulia, Danny Luna of Tulia, Sammy Luna of Houston, Mary Velazquez of Tulia, Rachel and Francisco Villa of Tulia and Sandy and Israel Garcia of Tulia, his son: Brandon Luna and several nieces and nephews.
