Rudy Ortiz (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas- Rudy Ortiz, 56, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Tulia Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Rusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia, Texas.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Rudy was born on November 7, 1965, in Tulia to Arthur and Dolores (Valdez) Ortiz. He attended Tulia Schools and later married his best friend, Diana Rodriguez. Rudy was known as a hard worker helping his Tulia community in lawn service, plumbing, tree trimming or anything that he was asked to do. He called his business Jack of All Trades Services and his wife Diana was his number one worker. He loved his grandchildren and told his grandson Pablo if he were to pass, the lawn business was going to be his. Rudy had a big heart and always forgave. Rudy will leave a big hole in his community he loved.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Ortiz, his brother, Arturo Ortiz, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Ortiz of Tulia; his children, Roxanne Ortiz of Tulia, Stephany Hernandez of Dumas, Celeste Ortiz of Tulia, Justin Ortiz, and Joseph Ortiz both of Tulia; his father, Arthur Ortiz of Tulia; his brothers and sisters, Jesse Ortiz of Plainview, Randy Ortiz of Liberal, KS, Dora Barrios of Plainview, Teresa Ramirez of Tulia and Sandy Ortiz of Liberal, KS., fourteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
