Russell Ortiz (Plainview)

Russell Ortiz, 52, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Trinity Fellowship Church with Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.   Russell was born on April 26, 1965 in Lockney to Bert and Cecilia Ortiz. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1984. He graduated from South Plaians College with a degree in Graphic Design. He married Terri Messer on October 15, 1988 in Plainview. He worked for C.R. Anthony’s in Plainview, Furniture Expressions and Ramsower’s Furniture. He also worked for Primerica Insurance Company. They moved to Lubbock in 2007. He loved God, his family and his friends very much and was well loved by many.   He is survived by his wife: Terri Ortiz of Lubbock, his parents: Bert and Cecilia Ortiz of Plainview and his two sisters: Audrey Butler of New Deal and Melinda Maldonado and husband Jerry of Plainview.   Online condolences may be made at kornerstonefunerals.com.
