Samantha Lange (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Samantha Stark Lange was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 23, 1973. She died June 16, 2020 at the age of 47. She is survived by her husband; Cade Lange, daughter; Taylor Lange, son; Bodey Lange, all of Tulia. She is also survived by her mother; Vicki Lindsey of Turkey, TX, brothers; Brandon Stark of Amarillo, and Micah Stark of LaQuinta, CA. Survivors also include her mother-in-law; Christy Walker and husband Ben of Melvin, TX, her sister-in-law; Cayla Rogers and husband David of Brady, TX, father-in-law; Terry Lange and wife Elaine of Brady, TX. Samantha is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by her dad; Scotty Stark, and Sandra of Quitaque, her paternal grandparents; O.R. and Mary Stark and maternal grandparents; Harold and Rubye Hamm.

Samantha grew up in Turkey where she graduated Valley High School in 1991. Following graduation, she attended college at South Plains where she studied Home Economics, which contributed to her great, cooking skills. She had an outstanding knack to throw a meal together, seldom following a recipe, that was always the most delicious. She attended Jessie Lee’s Hair Design Institute and later cosmetology at Vague College in 1993. She moved to Tulia after receiving her cosmetology license and began her career in a beauty shop, eventually owning her own shop. She met the love of her life, Cade, and they married on May 4, 1996. They built their life in Tulia, raising their 2 children, where Samantha never failed to be a large part of her children’s activities and events. The bright light she radiated thru them also radiated in every customer she blessed in her beauty shop. She literally lit up every room she walked into with her infectious smile, bling, bling, and red lip stick.

She loved her family and friends passionately and enjoyed sharing her talent of photography with many family and friends, often capturing special moments for others. The main thing Sam loved was Jesus Christ and she wanted everyone to know. And if you did not want to hear about her passionate and deep love for Jesus, you would not want to stay around her for very long. “Go rest high on that mountain Samantha, until we meet again.”

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, June 19, 2020 in the First Baptist Church in Tulia with Mr. Brian West, officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday in the Quitaque Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
