Sammy M. Pena (Plainview)

Sammy Pena, 74, of Lubbock passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Kornerstone Chapel with Oscar Chavez, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice, officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.  A visitation will be held 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Kornerstone.  Mr. Pena was born October 5, 1944 in Ballinger, Texas to Isaiah and Carmen (Medrano) Pena. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Pena. He is survived by one son, Jesse Pena of Lubbock; two brothers, Fernando Pena and wife Josie and Mike Pena and wife Cindy, both of Plainview; nine sisters, Mary Martinez and husband George of Hale Center, Rosa Medina and husband Polo, Diana Herrera, Elizabeth Pena, Laura Rodriguez and husband Ted, all of Plainview, Carolina Gin and husband Frank, Melissa Barrera and husband Cesar, all of Amarillo, Nelda Garcia and husband Jerry of Carlsbad, NM, Patricia Couch and husband Lewis of Canyon; two grandchildren, Jessell Price and husband Chris, Stacey Pena; five great grandchildren, Tyler Pena, Kadrick Price, Braylen Price, Zayvin Godino and Aryana Godino.
