Sandalio Abascal (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Sandalio Abascal, 88, died on Saturday, January 30, 2021. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Sandalio was born on September 3, 1932 to Jose and Pastora Abascal in Vueltas Villa, Clara, Cuba. He grew up in Cuba and attended schools there. He arrived in the USA as a young man and settled in Denver, Colorado. He married Georgina Perez on December 15, 1973. He was a “Jack of all Trades” working in various jobs during his lifetime. He eventually settled in Tulia, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children: Georgina “Lily” Scott of Denver, Alejandro “Alex” Abascal of Denver, and his grandchildren: Kelsey Scott, Abby Abascal and Gaby Abascal, all of Denver.
