Sara Marie Heitschmidt, 64, of Plainview, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Plainview Methodist Church in Plainview, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
A non formal visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Family will not be present during visitation hours.
Throughout her life, Sara made significant contributions to her community. She was deeply involved in charitable activities, volunteering with Meals on Wheels to help those in need. Her devotion to the Methodist Church was evident in her efforts in participating with Vacation Bible School, where she shared her love for children and faith. Sara's caring nature extended beyond the church as she made birthday calls to fellow church members wishing them a happy birthday. As an educator, Sara's impact was profound as she utilized her Bachelor's Degree to teach in multiple school districts, including, Bridgeport, Crosybton, Plainview ISD schools, Saint John the Apostle Catholic School and North Richland Hills. She dedicated herself to shaping young minds and instilling a love for learning in her students, leaving a lasting legacy in the field of education. Sara's legacy of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for her community will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Heitschmidt; her parents, Roy and Cathy Miller.
She is survived by her siblings, Marty Miller and wife Cindy, Joyce Willis and husband Scott, Janet Lamborn, Robert Miller and wife Kelly; her nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spoiling, Amber Bowman and husband Chase, Haley Galvan and husband Isai, Cassandra Root and husband Cuyler, Lynsey Earle and husband Cody, Caleb Miller and wife Brittney, Charles Miller, Shanna Borelli and husband Joey, Micah Miller, Josiah Miller and wife Jessie, and Jack Miller and eleven great nieces and nephews and Richard Anderson, her Godson.
