Sherril Anne Herring (Plainview)

Sherril Anne Herring, 72, of Hale Center passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas with Nathaniel Misch officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M. on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Sherril was born on September 9, 1950 in Paris, Texas to Aubrey and Lynn DeVore. She married Clifton Herring on March 17, 1979 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. After obtaining an associate’s degree, she became a nurse and served her community to the best of her ability. She had a passion for the medical field and loved her profession. Sherril was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by many friends and family.

Sherril is survived by her husband; Clifton Herring, daughter; Stephanie Kirby and husband Aaron of Lubbock, Texas, brother; Bruce DeVore and wife Vicky of Eagon, MN, grandchildren; Courtney Watts, Shawn Sexton, Kyle Kirby and wife Kaegan, Kevin Sexton, and Tiffani Sharp and husband Russell, and seven great grandchildren.  

Sherril is proceeded in death by her parents; Aubrey and Lynn DeVore, and her son; Scott Archer.
