Shirley May Gossett (Plainview)

Shirley May Gossett, 67, of Plainview passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the Northwest Church of Christ with Mr. Dee Teel and Mr. Mark Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery just north of Texico, New Mexico with Mr. Van McCormick officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Kornerstone. Shirley was born on May 15, 1955 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Sherill and Laura Blassinggame. She grew up in Hereford and attended schools there. Shirley married Virgil Gossett on April 12, 1974 in Hereford. She was a homemaker and she loved to knit. She was a longtime member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ and more recently in the last 12 years a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview. Shirley is survived by her husband, Virgil Gossett of Plainview; daughter, Shelly May Churchwell of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Virgil Ray Gossett and wife Mindy of Lockney, Marcaus Grey Gossett of Plainview; and four grandchildren, Levi Gossett, Amber Gossett, Brandon Cinesceros, A.J.
