Shirley Ann (Scott) Wheeler

Tulia, Texas—Shirley Ann (Scott) Wheeler, 67, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Tulia. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September29, 2018 in the First Assembly of God Church with Brother Robert Anderson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Shirley was born on May 3, 1951 in Tulia to R.A. and Bobby Scott. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1971. She married Jack Wheeler on May 8, 1975. She worked for the Tulia Hornet Drive Inn and for Joe Bob’s Grocery Store. She attended the Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Faye Ybarra, one son: Copen Wheeler, two brothers: Anthony Scott and Don Scott and two sisters: Barbara Cook and Lawanda Jean Scott.

She is survived by her husband: Jack Wheeler of Tulia, three daughters: Mandee Ross of Arkansas and Erin Michelle Wheeler of Kress and Winnie Brown of Oklahoma, four step-children: Eddie Wheeler of Georgetown, Calvin Wheeler of Durant, Oklahoma, Crystal Murdock of Panhandle and Sandra Johnson of Tulia, three brothers: Larry Scott of Tulia, Darrell Scott of Tulia and David Scott of Arkansas, one sister: Betty Cook of Phoenix, Arizona, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
