Simon Amador (Plainview)

Simon Amador, 84, of Kress died on Friday, May 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Trinity Life Church with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating and Pastor Steve Rogers assisting.  Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held 6 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Kornerstone.

Simon was born on June 19, 1933 in Hondo, Texas to Silberio and Feliz Amador.  He married Alicia Jasso on June 19, 1955 and they moved to Kress that fall.  Simon was Farmer and worked for Dwight Glenn for 37 years.  He loved baseball and loved to work with wood.  He even built his own home.  He also loved to garden.  He was a member of Trinity Life Church in Plainview.

Simon was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Esmeralda Amador; two brothers, Silberio Amador, Jr., Luis Amador; two sisters, Maria Cabrera, Rosa Jasso.

Survivors include his wife, Alicia Amador of Kress; children, Susana Rodriquez and husband Feliz of Hale Center, Carlos Amador and wife Janie of Kress, Henry Amador and wife Mary of Plainview, Diana Munoz and husband Jessie of Kress, Ofelia Rodriguez and husband Vidal of Columbus, Georgia, David Amador and wife Tiffany of Plainview; two brothers, Juan Amador of Lawton, OK, Trine Amador of Yanzey, TX; two sisters, Ramona Morales of Kress, Estella DeLeon of Yanzey; 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
