Stacy L. Ewing, 65, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, March 1, 2025 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Gillespie officiating. A private burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Stacy was born on July 12, 1959 in Tulia to Jack and Mina Ewing. She was an exceptional athlete, known for her outstanding skills in basketball, where she proudly held the title of All District Player and All-South Plains for two consecutive years. She also excelled in track, making her mark by competing at the state level twice in the 880-meter yard dash. Her passion for music was evident as she masterfully played the saxophone, piano, and organ, filling the lives of those around her with beautiful melodies.
A proud graduate of Tulia High School, Stacy completed her studies in 1977. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, exploring new places and experiences, and she cherished each moment with an open heart. A true animal lover, Stacy found joy in the companionship of both cats and dogs.
She is preceded by her parents, Jack and Mina Ewing.
She is survived by her siblings, Mike Ewing of Tulia, Leilani Pierce of Lubbock and Kristi Flowers and husband Byron of Amarillo; four nephews and two nieces.
Memorials may be made to the Amarillo SPCA at PO Box 1014, Amarillo TX 79105.
