Stanley Medina (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas – Stanley Medina, 55, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Father Hector Madrigal officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Stanley was born on May 20, 1968, in Dumas, Texas to Sylvester Medina and Beatrice (Basaldua) Villarreal. When Stanley was in second grade, he made his mother Beatrice “Mother of the Year.” In 1979 he was so athletic and was a Golden Glove Boxer. He was a very hard worker all his life until his very last day and worked as a truck driver for many years all around Amarillo, Lubbock, and all over the Panhandle. Stanley was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is preceded in death by his father; Sylvester Medina, and his fiancé; Janet Garcia.

He is survived by his mother; Beatrice Villarreal of Tulia; his son; Matthew Medina of Amarillo, his stepdaughters; Monica Martinez of Frisco, Diane Garcia, and Angelina Martinez both of Amarillo, his brothers; Steven Medina, Michael Medina, and Robert Villarreal all of Tulia, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
