Su Harland (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Su Harland, 70, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the First Baptist church with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Su was born on December 2, 1947 in Clovis, NM to J.C. and Walterine Hughes. She moved to Tulia IN 1967. She worked as a bookkeeper for A & H Printing, B & R Thriftway and Swisher Tire & Fuel for a combined 32 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was very active in the community painting signs, billboards, posters, doors and T’s for numerous individuals and businesses. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary, Tulia Booster Club serving as President, R&R Committee and a nursery assistant at First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Ronda Ka Wilfong. Her family includes five sons: Ja Ward of Dimmitt, Jerel Ward of Tulia, Jody Harland and wife Becky of Waco, Jamy Harland and wife Valerie of Amarillo, Jon Paul Harland and wife Summer of Waco. A granddaughter she raised: Sarah Lynn Harland of Lubbock, two sisters: Pegi Russell of Tulia and Ka Wilfong and husband Ronnie of Tulia, her grandchildren: Courtney Ward, Chaz Ward, Crystin Ward, Chris Eads, Stephanie Eads, Jake Lambert, Hannah Brock, Azelia Harland, Bret Harland, Jakin Barrington, Keenah Barrington, Jagger Harland, Jaydin Crockett and Autumn Gillaspy, her great grandchildren: Erryn Elizabeth Ward, Courtney Suzanne Ward, Crista Eads, Callie Eads, Tucker Eads, and several nieces and nephews.
