Sue Cooper Roth (Plainview)

Sue (Cooper) Roth, 79, passed away on June 5, 2021. Sue was born in Plainview on November 19, 1941, to Margaret and Carl Cooper. She married Bill Roth on June 29, 1968, and they made their home in Plainview for most of her life. Sue was a proud mother, PTA leader, and school volunteer before working for many years at Unger Memorial Library. She found the most joy in reading to children and introducing them to the world of books. Sue also loved to travel, particularly enjoying her many visits to New York City. Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Bill; son Dean Roth of Plainview; daughter Lisa Roth and husband Scott McConville of Bethel, CT. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation (www.bushhoustonliteracy.org) or Reading is Fundamental (www.rif.org). No services are planned at this time.
