Lareda May “Sue” Reeves Stewart departed this earthly world for her heavenly home on September 30, 2022. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Officiating the service will be Gabe Moudy, Chaplain of Traditions Hospice.
Sue was born on October 6, 1929 in Marysville, Texas to Arbin and Lillie Reeves. She married Albert Stewart on January 30, 1947 in Midland, Texas where they spent many years before moving to San Angelo, Texas. Sue was residing in Hale County at the time of her death.
Sue was a cowboys’ wife for many years. After leaving the ranch life, Sue was employed by Midland National Bank and retired from Midland County, where she was employed by the County Clerk’s Office.
A devout Christian, Sue spent her life in service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was never bashful about asking other if they had accepted Jesus as their savior. Sue is a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her daughter, Barbara; her son, Guy; her grandson, John Coleman; her son-in-law, Sam Coleman; her parents, Arbin and Lillie Reeves; three brothers, six sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Brenda Coleman of Hale Center, Gwen Frederickson of San Angelo; her daughter-in-law, Dana Stewart of Midland; her grandchildren, Tammy Phoenix of Lubbock, Jim Coleman and wife Selyna of Buckeye, Arizona, Gayla Thornton and husband Michael of San Angelo, Mariah Earles and husband Patrick of Clyde; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Monica, Myra and Gary along with other staff members of Kindred Hospice of San Angelo for the love and care of Sue. The family would also like to thank Jill, Sandra, Ken and Gabe of Traditions Hospice in Plainview for the loving care of Sue.
