Teresa Vasquez (Plainview)

Teresa (Sanchez) Vasquez, 83, of Lockney, Texas passed away August 22, 2020 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview, Texas. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

A rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.

Teresa was born October 16, 1936 in Mexico to Ricardo and Aurora Sanchez. She grew up in Las Esperanza Coahuilia, Mexico where she attended school at Solegio Catolico De La Paz. She received her degree in accounting and was working as a CPA when she met Armando Vasquez. They were married on July 22, 1956 in Mexico and moved to West Texas in 1967. Teresa had several hobbies but mostly like to cook for her family and spending special moments with her grandchildren. Her kind and sweet spirit radiated with all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers and one sister. .

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Armando Vasquez of Lockney; her children, Armando Vasquez, Jr. and wife Diane of Lockney, Idalia Cuella (Moses)of Plainview, Veronica Theesfeld and husband Brian of Flower Mound, Ricardo Vasquez and wife Carol of Lockney, Theresa Andrade and husband Michael of Plainview; 22 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
