Vanda Mae Moses, 89, of Plainview died on Monday, May 28, 2018. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Kornerstone Chapel with Oscar Chavez, Area Community Hospice Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in the Lockney Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Vanda Mae was born August 31, 1928 in Lockney, Texas to Van and Beulah McAda. She moved to Aiken at the age of four. She started to school first grade and graduated from seventh grade as valedictorian of her class. She moved to the Lockney area and graduated in 1945 from Lockney High School. She worked at the First National Bank for two years. She married Charlie D. Moses on September 15, 1947 and moved to Muleshoe. She also resided in Kress and then moved to Hart in 1964. She worked for Bob’s Farm Supply-Tide Products. In 1976, she moved to Plainview and worked for South Plains Auto Parts for twenty years. She was also employed by Kristi’s, Merle Norman and Gabriel’s. Survivors include one daughter, Charlene Bennett and husband George of Hart, TX; one son, David Moses and wife Natalie of Lubbock, TX; one sister-in-law, Terry McAda of Las Cruces, NM; one brother, Doyle McAda and wife Tammie of Fort Worth, TX; seven grandsons, Eric Bennett of Oklahoma City, OK, Andy Bennett and wife Julia of Hart, TX, Jeff Bennett and wife Nichole of Amarillo, TX, Landon Moses and wife Yvette of Kaufman, TX, Casey Moses and wife Stephanie of Lubbock, TX; Jonathan Ferguson and wife Kelly of Grapevine, TX, C.J. Huff of Lubbock, TX; eight great grandchildren, Ethan Bennett, Bryson Myers, Zayden Myers, Drew Bennett, Colton Bennett, Wyatt Bennett, Leo Moses and Eli Moses; seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie Moses, mother and father, Van and Beulah McAda, sister, Georgia Faye Bagley, brother, Bill McAda, two grandsons, Jason and Gregory Bennett.
