A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10 A.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Minister Chase Finch officiating. Interment will follow in the Plainview Memorial Park. Family and friends visitation will be held from 6:30pm to 8pm on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Virginia was born on January 23, 1929, to Earl and Wilda Kiser of Nashoba, OK. She married Gerald Otis (G.O.) Dickerson on January 23, 1945, in Antlers, OK. After moving to Plainview in 1951 she became a well-known seamstress, and volunteer at the Salvation Army for over 50 years. Virginia also supported United Way and Women’s Home League for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband G.O., granddaughter Amber Finch, and grandson John David (JD) Dickerson. She is survived by sons Larry Dickerson and wife Cheryl, Ron Dickerson and wife Sherry, Lance Dickerson and wife Sherry; daughters Nancy Finch and husband Mike, Jennett Berlin and husband Keith, Marnell Murphy and husband Rory, and Gena Russell and husband Orlando, 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Virginia was devoted to her family and showed God’s love to all people. She will be forever remembered for her wisdom, beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.
