Virginia worked for many years at Lockney Elementary shaping the lives of children and giving her love to all, she retired in 2018 and took on her most precious and priceless role yet, full-time Grandma. Virginia was always packed and ready for any adventure, whether it be a garage sale down the street or a road trip to the ocean. Virginia was always ready to place her bets and take her chances with family games of poker, Loteria, and phase 10. Anybody who challenged her was in for a laugh and a good time. Virginia knew no strangers, her infectious laugh captured the room and left a long-lasting memory of what often helped people describe her. To her children, she was their queen. She not only cared for her children as a mother should, but she was also their greatest supporter in life and always reminded them that family is forever. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Juan Hernandez; Son, Juan Anthony Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas. Four daughters Gracie Cervantes and husband Fred of Lockney, Texas; Alma Luna and husband Willie of Lubbock, Texas; Becky Menchaca and husband Noe of Dallas, Texas; and Analia Hernandez and husband Daylen Gatica of Lubbock, Texas.
