William H. "Bill" Deardorf, Jr. (Plainview)

William H. Deardorf Jr. (Bill), 90, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on July 4, 2021. He entered this world on June 5, 1931 in Clovis, NM, born to William Deardorf Sr. and Esther Deardorf. He is survived by his son Bert Deardorf; sister Gloria Riche, daughter-in-law LaNelle Deardorf; granddaughter Lauren Deardorf.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmelyne Deardorf and his parents.

Bill graduated with a masters degree from Texas Tech University. He taught private piano, music in the Plainview School District, and worked with the Special Ed Department while employed with the Plainview School System.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was on the board of the Plainview Community Concert. Bill was also a lifelong member of St. Alice Catholic Church, where he enjoyed serving as music director for many years.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 9, 2021 at St. Alice Catholic Church with burial to follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Kornerstone Chapel followed by visitation.
