Zelma Perry (Plainview)

Zelma Brown Perry passed from this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. She was the youngest of eleven children born to John Calvin and Treasure (McDaniel) Brown. She was born November 12, 1929 in Purdy, Oklahoma.

She married Davis (Doc) Perry on February 16, 1946. She is survived by their five children, Linda Peoples and her husband Johnnie of Granbury, Sandra Weaver and her husband Mike of Plainview, Cynthia Clayton of Plainview, Mike Perry and wife Melonie of Leander, Steve Perry and wife Kim of El Campo; ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her lifelong friend of more than 75 years, Florence Perry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband, Doc Perry and her granddaughter, Dana Perry.

She was faithful in serving her Lord and Savior, loved quilting and made sure no one left her house hungry. She was a member of the Church of God for more than 58 years.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August, 17, 2019 at Kornerstone Chapel with Mack Streun officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Visitation will be held 6:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
