Juan married his best friend Virginia Hernandez on June 9, 1990. They were married for 33 years. They created a beautiful family and left a wonderful legacy behind. Juan worked for 28 years at Walmart Distribution in Plainview, Texas; he made many friends along the way. Juan was the definition of hardworking, he always had something to do and if not, he would find something to do. You could catch him outside working in the yard, restoring cars, fixing up his home, or showing off his signature moves on the dancefloor. Juan was adamant about always teaching his kids and grandkids life lessons, he would often say “one day I won’t be around and y’all need to know how to do this”. Juan was a family man and wanted his family to know that “all we have is family, and we have to take care of each other”. He was the backbone of our family and biggest supporter in all the activities we had going on. Juan loved to go bargain shopping and was always up for a road trip. Juan wasn’t in agreement to upgrade his flip phone but was always known to have the latest recording devices to capture everyone’s memories. Those left to cherish his memories are his Son, Juan Anthony Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas. Four daughters Gracie Cervantes and husband Fred of Lockney, Texas; Alma Luna and husband Willie of Van Vleck, Texas; Becky Menchaca and husband Noe of Dallas, Texas; and Analia Hernandez and husband Daylen Gatica of Lubbock, Texas; Mother, Ofelia Hernandez of Plainview, Texas.
