Omar Guadalupe Montes (Tulia)

Tulia-Texas, Omar Guadalupe Montes, 26, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church. Arrangments are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

 Omar was born on September 8, 1995 in Lockney, Texas to Antonio and Marina Montes. Omar was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and so much more. He met Joanna who was the love of his life right after graduating from Tulia High School in 2014. Omar only being 18 he stepped up and started raising three girls and later had Maribel in 2016. Omar worked at Wrangler Feedlot for four years being a welder. He never loved a job more than working at Tyson Meat Plant, where he and his wife Joanna worked together. They both drove back and forth from work, had lunch breaks together and every time he would see her, he would blow kisses. He enjoyed traveling and was a huge family man. Omar was the funniest and most carrying person anyone could ever know. He loved his animals such as his python, iguana, bearded dragon and four dogs. Omar was a protective man over his wife and four daughters. We will forever cherish the love and moments we had with you Ome.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Antonio Montes, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna Marie Laureles; his daughters, Mariah, Marissa, Miranda, and Maribel Montes; his parents, Antonio, and Marina Montes; his brothers, Elias Montes and Alex Montes; his sister, Rebecca Montes and his niece, Aryal Montes.
