Tommy was born on November 8, 1948, in Lubbock, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Tommy truly loved his family. He had a funny way of portraying it, but his love always shined through in his own mischievous manner. Some might say Tommy was stubborn or maybe a little hard-headed, but his kindness and generous spirit always prevailed. He was loyal and consistently willing to go out of his way to lend a hand to his friends and family. Tommy's love for his family was equally matched by their love for him, and he will be deeply missed. Tommy is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Darlene Curry of Kress. He is also survived by his daughters, Tammy Solis (Rob) of New Braunfels, Tracy Reed (Regan) of Corinth, and Terry Morphis (Darren) of Lampasas. Tommy was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, WC Curry Jr. (Helen) of Joshua and Don Curry (Arlene) of Silverton, and his sister, Connie Barnett (Lanny). Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Dorothy Curry. Tommy graduated from Kress High School and later earned an Animal Science degree from Sul Ross University. During the late seventies and early eighties, he was part owner and manager of Fox Hollow Camp on Possum Kingdom Lake. In 1984, Tommy began a long career in the oil and lubricant industry. He ended this successful career as one of Texas Refinery Corp's top salesmen. Tommy's success can be attributed to his wonderful wife, Darlene, who helped manage his days so that he could focus on what he did best—selling. Her partnership enabled him to build strong relationships with his customers, who also became his good friends. In his free time, Tommy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was for work or play. Most of all, he cherished dancing with his wife. Tommy worshipped at Tulia First Assembly of God. He found solace and strength in his faith. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas, on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 6-8pm.
